Exactly! A page of Colma pics! Sounds good. As soon as I get my copies from Dean, I'll send them along!
And when you get the road trip together, just email me and we'll set it all up!

Yesterday I worked a military funeral for the first time, and I must say it was one of the most touching funerals I've worked so far! There was so much respect and concern shown to the widow. The National Cemetery here is only a few years old, but its also very beautiful. It was quite a moving experience, and if anyone gets the chance to wittness one of these funerals I would strongly reccomend it! :rose:

We've been having 1 degree temps here in New York lately so I finally went today.  It was 29 degrees, wind chill 19 with winds a mere 8 mph.  Let me tell you not a creature was stirring not even a corpse!  I was the only one there.  Ah the place was mine just the way I like it.  I got a ton of snow in my sneakers climbing a hill just to get a few silk cemetery flowers.  But so worth it.  Took another 25 pix.  By the time I was walking out I could no longer feel my face or head.  But that was a blessing because then they didn't feel the cold any longer.  I do prefer crawling in better temps and without the snow.  It was still pretty much covered in it.  Silent majesty for certain.  AnyBODY been visiting their "City of the Stone?"   rip

That sounds like a beautiful (although chilly) visit, Darky. I bet you have the photos to make an awesome collective book of cemetery pics! I'd love to see that....

Haven't visited recently, because the ground out here is soaked, and I've been posessed by the Colored Pencil Demon, but I have done some nice renditions of monuments in Graceland Cemetery....they are SO beautiful under the snow, especially the bronzes....(sigh) :rose:  rip  :rose:

Let me guide myself with the blue, forked torch of this flower
down the darker and darker stairs where blue is darkened on blueness
even where Persephone goes, just now, from the frosted September
to the sightless realm where darkness was awake upon the dark
