Leilah, you poor dear. I truely feel for you. When I heard you had arthritis I was really concerned. How are you feeling these days?
I have scoliosis and fibermylgia, and nasty muscle spasms/cramps, also a heart condition. I'm actually on Vicodin which I really don't take, and carisoprodol, which is what helps. It stops the cramps and muscle spasms. Without it I wouldn't be able to do much.
Also as part of treatment for fibermylgia, I'm on xanax, and it does help. I'm not ashamed to say that it does. It is also used as a muscle relaxant.
I do sometimes take Valerian before bedtime. Sufferers of fibermyalgia barely sleep well. It helps me sleep through the night.
I know you have a dislike for the "warm human touch" but have you ever considered going for theraputic massage? I don't know what kind of medical coverage you have, but sometimes it is covered. Parrafin wax treatments might also help you, but again, it's warm!
I know the problem is more in your bones than in your muscles, but its amazing how much your whole body can hurt due to your bones. It might help loosen up those stiff, inflamed limbs a bit. Hydrotherapy could really help you as well.
If what your doing works for you, stick with it. Even the copper bracelet! Maybe I'll try that.
