The fires:

They are darkening our skies.  It's less than 50 miles away.  Danu has friends up there, and our radio interviewer of CD (Sensuous Nosehairs On Tap) lives in Santa Rosa.  Hope his place is gonna be spared.  This is horrible.  I also wondered when this sort of thing was gonna happen, and will it also strike locally one of these days?

Gods, I hate living so close to so many schools.  Especially since one of them has a marching band that hits the streets a few times a year.   It's loud, disrupts traffic, disturbs the peace, and should be outlawed.

It was strange when they came by and when the 'sidewalk cloggers' walked home.  A ton of them were wearing chiffon tutus over their clothes.  Both genders.  That was somewhat amusing, but not amusing enough to have put up with the marching band and the horrible. . .uh. . .dare I call it music?  Cacophony is is more like it.

The wine country fires are slowly coming under control, and thank the gods, our nosehair DJ's place is still standing unharmed.  One of our buddies in Washington state lost one of their houses a few years back, and they went through H-E-L-L when the fire hit their place.  Thank the gods they didn't lose the house they lived in, but they had to do a major cleanup operation on it.  And of course we are wondering when a quake is gonna whack us.  There's no way we could recover from it, but hey!  In the Cosmic Scheme of things, does it matter?

You could move to northern lower Michigan.  Might be just the place your looking for.  Except for a few days, it's been in the 70's here since last April.   I wonder how the catering job is working out for you - if you might have found it  a little more to your liking than some of your current alternatives.

I am still battling the foes inside of me that make a somewhat cognitive life into a living hella.

I'm backup caterer if the chick who usually does it is down for the count.  I went to the casino last night with my boss, and I hope I never have to do it.  I hate the environment, and I hate the job.  Currently I'm janitor, emergency backup in dishwashing, which is another thing I never wanna see again.

Am currently hurting all over from my 20 hours in the past two days of janitoring.  But hey!  I have today off, sort of.  Had to do the laundry, but all that's done and I get the rest of the day to do what I want.

Michigan ain't my cup o' tay.  I have a better chance of being nuked here.  We'd move to Oregon or Washington if we could.

Oh, ye gods.  Yesterday was a total cooker, and today the forecast is for 94° F with highpoint at 4:00 PM.  October 24?  It's too late in the year for that crap.  And the axis tilt isn't done.  The shadows have me reeling.  Thank the gods I'm doing grave shift tonight.  The heatwave ends Friday.

Blah!  I start my work day with a courier run.  On one of the worst days of the week.  I'm gonna get stuck with a 12 hour shift, for it.  And will it be a 200 pond load?  More blah.  Last time I had to pick up a box of meat, it was 50 lbs, and this time I have to pick up 4 of the #### boxes.

Oh well.  It could be worse.  I see that every time I look at the life of my boss.  Poor thing has to work every day of the year, long shifts.  Wonder how she made it to 60?  And she doesn't look a day over 40.

For the first time in oh, so many years I am throwing trash away without having to demolish the object that I am trying to rid myself of.  More born out of the necessity to make for faster retrieval of whatever it is that I got stuck in my head at any given time before the trash truck comes.  Cleaning up for me is an agonizing endeavor.  :shake:  Temperature dropped down 35 degrees and now the highs are in the low 40's.  Owe another 500 bucks at least on my Federal income taxes; I plan on calling the IRS tomorrow, if my phone isn't disconnected by then.  So much stuff to consolidate, give away, sell, get rid of, organize.  If only it were just a matter of effort.  I get tired of having to babysit myself but that's the story of my life; always having my time preoccupied with fighting off another phobic attack over forgetting something.  In the process as I type this... dwelling over what the initials I wrote on an envelope before I went to sleep stand for....

Ahhhhh.   Rain!  Finally.

Gotta go to work in a couple of hours.  Will it be a 10, 11, or 12 hour shift?  Won't know until I get there.   I have 3 extra jobs other than floor cleaning and bathrooms.  Will there be more?  Gods, I am so sick of it all.  And how will the commute be?   I'm probably taking the side road since the highway is generally a nightmare on Saturday, but oh well.  Only thing is, it's one lane in each direction on that side road, and if there is an issue, there's no way to get around it.

I hope Danu finds a job fast.  Then I can get rid of a weekday where I don't even get 4 hours, and with petrol prices rising; that's getting not very cost effective.

How nice it would be if North Korea nuked us, so I wouldn't have to deal with that crap anymore.

I seem to have been given a brief respite from the worst part of the OCD mindset.  Managed to get some raking and some dishes done.  Believe it or not I actually feel as if someone here has been helping me.  If this is the case, Thank You from the bottom of my heart.  :rose:

Everything's falling apart again, my mind is twisted with another thought dilemma... I woke up and took some pills and am not sure whether it was the one kind or the other kind... so out I go into 21 degree weather, driving around with a defective heater (lever on the blower somehow got disconnected) terrorized once again by my uncertainty, trying to get a grip so I can just go on with what remains of my life and be myself for a change.  I feel like my obsessions, fears, and phobias are draining me now at an exponential rate along with just about everything else that interacts with me these nights.  Still got hives which disappear and reappear and disfigure my face.  That's what I was supposed to take the meds for this morning but did I take 3 of the damned Benedryl or did I take 3 of the other stuff which is supposed to help my brain?  Truth is that I don't know if either one is working which just makes the uncertainty over what I actually did take all the greater and more terrifying. So here I am at the library running my text in one of the few places where I can find a refuge from myself.
