I was just wondering how do all of you see truth; whether it be the meaning of the word, concept…

"Beauty is Truth, Truth is Beauty." It has also been said that 'Beauty is Pain'. So... Truth is... Pain...? Yet this speaks of only physical beauty. Perhaps, truth may bring at least melancholy - although this is merely personal experience.

Other times, Nietzsche's "Sometimes when you stare into the abyss, the abyss stares back into you." might apply.

I personally believe a part of the reason for flesh is the finding of the 'ultimate truth'. "Certain Truths" as Leilah has said.

Gnosis.

Personally, I think Truth is the true nature of all things, and nothing more or less. And everyone's truth is different.

All I can say, is I don't really know anything.  What Truth is there, in the 'Land of Illusion'?  Perhaps Truth is The Akashic Library.  I won't find out until I'm no longer here, me thinks.

I believe truth is based upon perspective, the time in which you live, and your society, there is no absolute, or underlining truth. And truth to me is complex to understand, I am sure we could all say what we think is false and what is not false, but what makes something true? It appears that nothing stays true for very long, it is all based on a specific time and place, because what is truth to some, may not be truth to another, even scientific theories get abolished and changed or altered by the next one, and sometimes not even historical facts remain true forever. I mean how do we know events in history took place they way they are written, because truly history was written by the "winners," so wouldn't history show their bias? To me, and I am sure you can agree, that death(atleast for now anyway) is the only surviving truth that all of mankind can agree to. Very interesting subject to say the least!  :smoke:

Yes this is a side effect of my idea of truth, though I not sure if its truth brings melancholy of if melancholy bring truth. Hell for all I can tell the are one and the same

When I think of truth I think of two thing, a persons lie and what I have seen and been on my path of truth. What I mean by a persons lie is the current state of self-deception they are in, and all most every one I've met in person is in a simple easy, set and comprehended one; the others are in more complex but not true none the less. My path of truth is the growth I have made out of other peoples lie sets. This is a vary interesting this to me, as its become more than just mundane. The way I see things has change the world has change in a literal way, I see true 3D thing in a indescribable way. (This has caused a dislike of glass and screens.) Many things have changed I know no one in person who is does not seem like a trivial imbeciles and I have too live amongst fools... This is turning in to a rant.

Yes death is truth, and death is peace. Sadly I still have to wait to get there.  :eyemouth:
