Ruins.  Dead cities, some of which we never heard of.

Only on the web.  I intend to never do so whilst I live.  I intend to explore the farthest reaches of the universe AFTER I don't have to pay for it anymore, thank you.

I'm not giving OPEC the satisfaction of wasting any more fuel to do unnecessary things.  (Heh-heh-heh.  I haven't driven 600 miles yet this year, but I'm getting closer.  2 or 3 more days.)

Got some time to kill?  99 picture slide show.  I only saw a little.  Maybe later I can go through the whole thing.  Weird, trippy, disturbing mutations probably due to our deteriorating environment, funny, whatever.

At least it wasn't trapped here, long.  It's fine now.

Detroit:
The first of many:

I wonder what lurks in the shadows.  I wonder how a curious explorer would fare.  What are the odds of getting out alive?

Of course, being how much I hate all that the world has become, I get off on this.  I say the best thing to do would be raze it to the ground.  Doing so would solve, and prevent a lot of problems.

I mean, look at all the vandalism.  Instead of destroying it half way, why not level everything completely, and just let nature have it back, and never allow building there again.

Interesting.  How many 'For Lease' signs are up even here in Hayward.  Both in the industrial park I work in, and down town, which is a couple of blocks away.  And this town is slowly losing population.  Don't know why the rents aren't going down now.  Or are they?  I've got to look 'em up.

Though it's not happening in our complex.

I don´t know where this go..It´s not impending destruction, more a question of entropy..One of my favourite-sites, I usually put on some music and then just lounge about, looking at the pics and think..I love walking into abandoned places, it´s both wonderful to be able to see it and a thrill.

Morgan, my favorite buildings on the castle site are the English Tudor building and the one with ivy all over it. Jentzi, i especially enjoyed the photo sequence of New Jersey, though my favorite individual photo is the one that doesn't look like a photo at all...the one of 2 silhouetted figures standing in what looks like a snowfall. LOVELY!
