I was saddened to hear that the guy who invented whipped cream topping died. There is always room for whipped cream... He was 87.

Too bad the Bijani sisters didn't make it - but it probably would have been MUCH worse if only one of them died.  I suspect that either one would have been miserable without her sister.

I agree, Columbine. It think it would be hard going through life that long attached to someone else, but you are right, after being separated, it would have been nearly impossible to live without the other person. They had a lot of guts, because they knew that there was the slimmest of chances that they were going to make it. :(

There's a guy in CA, an autopsy assistant, who stockpiled 157 pounds of human remains--spinal columns, organs and a couple of heads, "very well preserved" as well as dissecting tools, microscopes and preservatives.  Someone tipped the cops to a storage shed near the guy's house.  He was booked on charges of removing human remains with the intent to dissect or sell them, possessing stolen property, and possession of methamphetamine. He was described as a quiet, reliable employee by his boss.  The quiet ones are the ones you have to WATCH OUT for.... :eyemouth:

For those who like the old actresses of yesteryear-- Katherine Hepburn has passed away.

Yes, some really BIG stars have died lately.  Sort of last of a dying breed if you will.

Well, Green-wood has made the news on T.V. and the newspaper. ¬†They're showing movies on Saturday for the last two weeks. ¬†There are people who are thrilled...(like me ¬†:clap2: ¬†) ¬†and then there are those who say "Let the dead rest in peace." ¬† :cussing: ¬† Green-wood is trying to get a little more traffic into the cemetery...raise peoples interest in its history and I'm sure to generate a few dollars. ¬†They have a listing of the movies that were to be shown @ 3 P.M. ¬†(children's matinee)....@ 5 P.M. and @ 9 P.M. ¬†Well with all the hub bub they canceled Psycho....The Shining...Night of the Living Dead.....Bride of Frankenstein....Frankenstein....Dracula.... in view of certain peoples criticism. ¬†Now THAT sux!!!! ¬† :pissedoff: ¬† I'll have to see if they have a new schedule of the revised movie list posted @ their site. ¬†But I tell ya I refuse to sit through ANNIE...Pinnochio....Snow White.....Willy Wonka...And Frankenstin was scheduled for 10 P.M. Halloween night.  Well NO matter what they're showing in that time slot darky is going!!!!  Please don't let it be a cartoon...please don't let it be a cartoon.

Love A Saddened,

Green-wood once again made the papers and the news on T.V.  A councilman here in Brooklyn not far from me was killed by um, his gay lover in City Hall.  The entire area was shut down.  They shot his killer. They buried him in my Green-wood Cemetery.  rip The councilman was buried a few yards away from his killer.  The family of the councilman was furious when they discovered this bit of news and dug him up and laid him to rest in another cemetery.  I have the Lot. # of his killer so I think I'll seek him out.  Sad huh. Both the event and myself.

They're showing the movies in the Chapel.  I'd have to sit in a hard wooden pew and my boney lil um butt would be killing me after two hours.  Would also have a problem sitting in such close quarters with the living.  All that breathing going on.  But Halloween......um I'll take a valium or something.   :banghead:   Afterall Halloween is the BEST!!!  I just have to fight my phobia.

Love,
 darky   :alarm:    rip    :alarm:

The chapel... of course.  For some reason I was thinking of the movies outside.  :banghead:    That makes a lot more sense.  Good luck with sitting through them.
