Leilah, you and Daniel can get Travel Agent licenses, and... "Westgate Necro-Tours" is born!

"For lovers of the DarkSide, the world's foremost attractions are now available to visit with like-minded souls and unprecendented access! Our chauffeur-driven hearse will pick you up at the airport and deliver you to our exclusive tours of catacombs, famed cemeteries, the 'special collections' of medical museums. If you wish, a 'guaranteed to be haunted' hotel room can be arranged to make your stay a truly unforgettable experience*...

For those with small children, our attractions are helpfully rated from ":death:" (Lite Dark) to ":death: :death: :death: :death: :death:" (Darkest of the Dark)...

*Due to great demand, advance reservations are suggested. Westgate Necro-Tours is not responsible for insanity, possession by evil spirits, whitening of the hair, or other side effects which may result..."

Good idea, Mike.

I just wanted to say I LOVE CSI. I don't get to see those other shows, though  . I know how you feel, Isa.

Okay, bla, bla, bla- I'm done.

Ok, I know some of us here watch CSI... does anyone keep up with the spin off "CSI Miami"?
I just watched it right now (it was probably on tv there a while ago), it was the episode of the little girl found dead on the park's bathroom. She was going to be kidnapped by a pedophile, but the drug he gave to sedate her had a bad reaction with her cold medicine and she had an anaphilatic shock. Anyway, I was damn shocked through the whole episode, how people can be so cold and fucked up... but what alarmed me the most was this little bit of information that a pedophile, through his life, attacks and molests an average of 105 children!!!
Just imagine that, 105 kids are harmed because ONE goddamn bastard has a sick sexual disorder! A psychological illness! And if the pedophile is caught, the average drops to "only" 65!
Gee.... the episode was really strong, psychologically heavy... anyone who has a chance to watch it (perhaps on re-runs or something), do so. It's worth it. Besides being a great show and all...

I watched the show too, but I watch mostly the original CSI on wednesday as is the only day in the whole week that I know I can be at home early, and because the cast of this one is more or less "credible" if you know what I mean, than the miami one (except for David Carusso). Damn good show, never miss it.

Anyway, it's really sickening the pedophile thing, how that kind of people is walking on the street? man!

Btw, did you saw the one two weeks ago (re-run), the one of the model that she wasn't perfect enough , that she wasn't symmetrical and all that, even if she was damn beautiful, that wasn't as important as the earlier and she destroyed all her face and killed herself with scissors! :o

What people can do, only 'cause of vanity

I also prefer the original CSI Las Vegas, I mean... IT ROCKS!! :headbang: Best show ever!

And yeah, I watched that episode of the model alright. And she killed herself with the botox injection, that's what she was cutting her face with. She was driving the needle into her face. :puke:
The best thing about CSI is that it's not only about forensics and crime scene investigation, it's about the human nature and behaviour, and what causes some rather "normal" people to become murderers, what triggers the "irrational" animal inside... real anthropology... :hippy:

The other bad statistic is the failure of rehabilitation.  Unless the stats have changed since the mid 1990's there are no successful cases of rehab of pedophiles.  Incarceration only works until they make parole.  And forget castration for male pedophiles (one of the old punishments commonly endorsed) - its tends to create a far more violent    and even more perverse criminal

Has anyone seen "Dead like Me" on Showtime? My "Good" ex keeps raving about it, but we don't get it here.

Just watched a new show last night, "Family Plot," about a family of funeral directors in San Diego. I must say, I have VERY mixed feelings about the show.  It's supposed to be a "reality" show, but I swear I could almost hear the director coaching the subjects at times....some of the speeded up footage was grossly inappropriate and the music could have been pinched from some kiddie show or other. It WAS nice to see some scenes in the embalming room, but there just wasn't enough of that. I think that the creators were thinking of a combination of "Sex and the City" and, of course, "Six Feet Under." Sigh.  :shake:

I saw that Russalka (hi!) had mentioned 'Dead Like Me' last fall, but no one had replied.  Now that I'm caught up on season 2 of 'Six Feet Under' ('cuz ya know, I don't have cable so I have to wait for each season to come out on DVD!), I don't have anything to watch.  I've seen the 'DLM' DVD's at the video store, but, like Russalka, I wondered if anyone had watched it and if it was worth renting.

And does anyone have any snarky editorial comments about 'Family Plots'?  I still can't believe A&E (who I thought had integrity) would make a trendy reality show about such a subject.  Makes me *glad* I don't have cable.  'Lip EMbalm', indeed.  :shake:

:asthanos:  <---  ooooh, how *edgy* of them!
