I was wondering what everyone was thinking regarding the recent attempt at cloning human cells for potential usage in fighting diseases and such.
Personally, I don't see how HELPING to save lives can be something so vehemently trampled upon by a current administration that has no qualms about blowing people to bits. All the religious fanatics are on about how it's "against god" to save lives, while it's okay with god to wage war. These embryos were DONATED cells. They forget that as well. And now they're on about 6 cells being equal to a human life! Give me a break! Will every sperm be sacred next? Replete with voting and equal employment rights!!!
IMO, if stem cell research can eventually bring out a cure for things like Parkinsons, and even certain cancers, then I say, GO FOR IT! But, then again, you've got idiots like Ashcroft, still trying to override the people's voice in Oregon regarding the Death With Dignity act...whilst spewing kill the Arabs out of the other side of his mouth.
I hate hypocrites!!:bash:
"Death stands above me whispering low, I know not what into my ear; Of His strange language all I know is, there is not a word of fear."
