life interferes with Life.....

For there are two different things here... This is what all religions aspire to be based upon, instead of mere control of the populace.

life (day to day, ordinary getting by) always will interfere with Life (true existence, the knowing of the ulitmate spark of which we are all comprised.... experiencing that which our bodies cannot comprehend)

Part of me has to wonder at the composition of mankind... half animal, half angel (for lack of better words). We constantly strive to appease both parts. Practicality demands that we pay attention to the animal - subsistence - getting by and surviving from day to day. Yet there always seems to be that which is other. And this is where the Carnivale begins. (Carnivale means "farewell to flesh")

For it is in the attempted unveiling of the divine that our infinite colours truly shine through. For we have, as humans, created a kaleidoscope of the eternal. If you look long enough, and hard enough, you can find the eternal celebrated in just about any way or form.

This is the beauty of the limited form that we inhabit whilst we incarnate into physical being. This is the curse of the limited form that we inhabit whilst we incarnate into physical being.

For we endlessly squabble amongst ourselves about that which is right and true. All the while ignoring the fact that what we feel, really feel - not what we are convinced to believe by someone else - is true for us.

For some reason, we cannot conceive of an infinite existence in which all things are possible. Someone must always be wrong. And so we have bloodshed, war, hate, etc...

Can we not agree that there is one constant within all of this? That we all feel there is that which is "other" than ourselves?

You have always run through my life as a soft refrain with many variations. An aural signature which mutates as it repeats, yet always remains distinct. Endlessly weaving, endlessly touching a place within my heart.

I found you, awaiting me in the world. But it was not until my heart was torn that I would look for you. I looked to the darkened sky and there you were, in all of your resonant beauty. I cried out in the darkness and was welcomed by your darkened shadow.

In attempting to understand you, I made a mistake. I had found you "in the world", and so continued seeking you in the world.

And I found you there, in every breeze, every leaf, the rythym of the surf upon a shore under moonlight. In the stillness of a forest save for the babbling of a nearby stream, in the starlight reflected upon the still body of a lake, there you were.

And I sought you further in the world, even unto the embrace of others. And there you were as well. For you existed in the sudden gasp in a lovers ear, in the smoothness of skin, the scent of hair, the engulfing fire of orgasm and the simmering fire of the ascent thereto.

I had found you in all these things, yet was I still looking in the wrong places.

For you have always been within me, nestled close within my heart. You are the soft refrain which repeats continually, like unto the beating of this heart. The fiery core of my soul, the star that burns, evermore.

Had I not sought you within the world, I would never have found you within myself. And for this I thank you, Lady, for you have unveiled a beauty in this world to me that is often overlooked. For you are the resonant beauty inherent in all things, and burn brightest in the hearts of all.

Bonne Nuit

Here is a little board within a board....  :hippy:

I'm still working on it - I have to decide what forums to make here and such - but meanwhile I thought I'd give everyone a peek.

I brought over some old topics from the Night board on the .net site. That board is still up, so if anyone wants to go and grab anything from it, go ahead.  :smoke:

I think we can all agree on that. It is the concept of "other" where the human element comes into play, where the wars start. No one is accepting of another's opinion on what the "other" is and they simply cannot allow it to be a personal expression. After all, that cannot be controlled, and we all know that Dominance is mankind's greatest foray.

I think this is really what's at the heart of philosophical dichotomies like Zoroastrianism's Ahura Mazda/Ahriman and Taoism's yin/yang, and perhaps even reaching into our modern techniculture's roots cobbled together of ones and zeros, in some strange way...  There's what I am, and then there's everything else.

On the one hand, I love being human, and I'm fascinated by mortals' hidebound insistence on this split-uppedness.  Without it we could never experience surprise, learning, or wonder!  But I fear that, when We decided separation would be worthwhile, We gave Ourself too dangerous a toy for a blind, deaf, autistic child to play with safely.

I posted this last year, and I'll post it again now - for we have learned nothing in between....

Blood

All of my children, my extrusions, my afterbirths... These all spring from a common source. All are my thoughts, my extensions, if you will, into the space of the physical.

That they cannot perceive this, cannot fathom this one simple truth, is my great shame. For blood is blood. It runs through each vein, each capillary, each thought and each deed...

All reside within my body, all reside within the whirlings of my thought. All are here for a purpose.

All purpose is unique, each to themselves. All voices are common, yet different. This is what goes to create my infinite diversity. Yet I must take exception at the shedding of the same blood of which you are all comprised.

If you would but take each example of the divine and weld them into a kaleidoscopic mesh, then, perhaps, you would succeed in creating a mirror of that which I am. For I have sent pieces of myself to every race, every nation, every individual... indeed, to each and every thing upon your "planet", whether deemed "living" by you or not.

If you all would just join the pieces together, instead of squabbling over them as if but one bit of the whole were some prized possession, to be hoarded above all else...

But I have said my peace in a thousand, thousand different ways already...

And I will leave you now, saying only this - to those of you who call upon but one of my many names, to justify your petty thievery of lands, peoples, freedoms and the lives of those souls who do not belong to you, your profits and well being at the exploitation of others, your way of isolated continuance in lieu of actual life... to all of you I say this - you have not known me, you shall not know me, you will never know me...
